CLINTON, Tenn.–Techmer PM LLC, a leading North American compounder and materials design firm, is pleased to announce it has hired Kara Noack to serve as its business director of engineered compounds & 3D.
Dating to 1993, Noack has a diverse background that encompasses engineering, sales, business development, and additive manufacturing, including a number of various management roles. Most recently she was North American business director – additive manufacturing for 5N Plus Inc., working from Michigan for the Quebec, Canada-based firm.
Before that, Noack worked nearly eight years for BASF in Michigan, with most of those involved with the chemical giant’s 3D printing and additive manufacturing businesses.
Previous jobs included working in the adhesives and sealants industry for Henkel and Loctite and for a pair of instruments companies –– one active in powertrain test equipment and the other in detectors for electron microscopes. Her first job was as a process engineer for Texas Instruments.
Noack graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
“I found Techmer PM to be a strong formulation partner while I was with BASF 3D Printing Solutions,” she said, “and I’m excited to work with Techmer’s engineered polymers team to help bring solutions to meet our customers’ needs.”
Currently in Michigan, Noack plans to continue working out of suburban Detroit and report to Ryan Howley, the Clinton, Tenn.-based company’s chief commercial officer in Los Angeles.
“We’re delighted to be able to add Kara to head our talented engineered compounds team,” said CEO Michael McHenry. “Her breadth of industry experience will serve us well.”
