Shares Insights on Building a Company from a Start-Up to a Global Supplier Over 30 Years
CLINTON, Tenn., March 5, 2012 –John Manuck, President and CEO of Techmer PM, delivered a presentation titled Organizational Development in Times of Change at the Plastics News Executive Forum in Tampa, Florida, on January 31, 2012, and at AMI’s Thermoplastic Concentrates conference in Coral Springs, Florida, on February 2, 2012.
Manuck’s presentation focused on the challenges that companies face as they grow from small regional players to mid-size high performers and beyond. Specifically, he presented his experience as a case study for both audiences and demonstrated how Techmer PM successfully transitioned from a start-up in the 1980s with regional aspirations to a national supplier in the 1990s, to supporting global customers as they moved into the new millenium. Techmer PM experienced growing pains along the way but was able to capitalize on these transitions to drive the company to even greater heights.
Manuck explained, “An organization experiences growing pains when its size and complexity exceeds the development of its infrastructure. Techmer PM has been successful in navigating these difficult straits by building a strong internal culture with a focus on trust, open communication, and teamwork to drive innovation.”
Techmer PM continues to grow by moving into new industry segments and expanding globally. This includes the recent launch of Techmer Engineered Solutions (TES) to provide service to a broader range of engineered plastics applications.
